Changed the way you kiss me - Straight to the top!

It was released at 12am this morning, and since then it has shot straight to the top of the iTunes chart! A brilliant song and clever marketing have lead to this massive success.

The same sadly can be said for Coldplay's new single, which was also released this morning. The first public play of the single was on Friday, and is currently standing in fourth place in the iTunes download chart. Also a brilliant song.

I just pray that these two songs aren't overplayed, however due to the standard of the song, I think that the 'trigger happy' commercial DJs will give in to the temptation to play these songs every other hour.X

Coldplay New Single

Coldplay's new single was played for the first time today on BBC Radio 1 with Fern Cotton. What a beautiful song, opens the way for a spectacular new album. Just listen, this song is just what you expect from a Coldplay comeback song.
Enjoy this.X

Speaking of Skrillex...

As you may have noticed, Skrillex is on of my favvv artists around in the whole wide world. (See basically all of my posts)

Sooo obviously i'm a follower of his twitter account and his facebook page. All the signs seem to be leading up to a NEW SKRILLEX ALBUM! I'll post when i hear anything.X

Skrillex new song 2011 - Another quality release!

I don't need to write much about, just listen to this. I'm becoming a big fan of the Foreign Beggars, I think that their EP is well worth a download when it is released! (It is released on the 6th of June. See http://www.wewillneversaydie.com/ for more details)

Should also point out that if you want to hear about the latest upcoming drum and bass, dubstep and dancestep releases, UKF is a brilllll channel on YouTube to subscribe to!X

ROCK IS NOT DEAD, it's just resting.

Here is a little article by James McMahon, explaining to those non-believers that ROCK IS NOT DEAD. If you so think so, stop listening to Capital FM and start listening to Radio one, where they play real music, as well as the trash that is diluting the definition of music.

And if you are reading this thinking, ahhh Radio One , they talk to much; well if
your thinking this, you probably don't have the mental capabilities to handle it.

Anyway, here is the article!X

End Game Review

All I'll say is, I'm not a big fan of this album, 2 out of 5. However I would love to see them live again!X

Rise Against - End Game

RISE AGAINST are back with their forth album, End Game. Released in the UK tomorrow (15/3/11).

I'm not too excited because I just can't see how they can top the second album, The sufferer and the witness, or whatever its called. However, we'll wait and see what happens! Below is the single that seems to be gaining the most hype.

It's pretty good, but to be honest, i prefer this.X

Leeds Line Up

The festival of my choice is soon to announce it's line up, but who will it be?

There has been rumors that the Strokes will headline; but after the announcement from the organizers that the headliners will not be playing at any other festivals (in the UK), they were wrote off to headline, as they are playing The Isle of White festival.

So because of it, its getting easier to guess really. Here's my predictions for the three headliners.
  • My Chemical Romance
  • Muse
  • Red Hot Chili Peppers
I'm only guessing there is not real truth behind this! However it is a well considered guess.X

Sleigh Bells Album

Bought it a few weeks ago now, been listening to it a lot; but not because I'm enjoying it. I wish I could get into this album, but it really is boring me.

The music itself is original and at first listen, pretty good. To me though, this is a one time album. I can't see how this album could be listened to over and over again, because it is soooo repetitive! There is hardly any variation. With any album, its important that the songs have some level of consistency because of course it is that bands take on music. BUT, to much similarity bores me.

An example of a group who got the balance just right, (and continue to do so), are The Wombats. Their first album is certainly one of my all time favvvs, due to the bouncy yet clever songs. Not like Jay Sean. But that's another rant for another day.X

Two Door Cinema - Tourist History

I only recently heard about this band, but never gave them a listen. Well eventually I got round to it, and quite liked the single I Can Talk. So one thing lead to another; before I knew it, I'd purchased the album.

Tourist History is a bouncy and happy album, which seems to have taken some inspiration from The Friendly Fires. I would even stretch to say that this album is quite relaxing to listen to, no harsh guitar solos, or overused bass drums.

My view on the album, pretty good. I'd give it a 4 out of 5. All the songs are catchy, but what stops this being a brilliant album is the fact that the songs all sound pretty similar. The vocals and music is sound all the way through.X

P.S. Forgot to review the Chase and Status album, but just so you know, it's amazing. 6 out of 5.

No More Idols

31ST OF THIS MONTH. EXCITED? YES!!!!!!X

(short but sweet.)

"My Chemical Romance - Danger Days" Load of Rubbish.

Well I'm gutted to have to tell you my opinion on the new album because I really feel let down.

This could have been on of the best albums I downloaded last year, but in the end it turned out that MCR hadn't made this record, their record label did. Most of it is soo  poncy and happy, it makes me want to cry. It's really not them.

But there was one glimmer of home on the album, a song called "Vampire Money". A bit like the old them, but not quite. See what you think.X

DJ FRESH

Don't think that I'm Jumping on the Fresh bandwagon late! I've been a big fan for a few months now, but to be honest I never thought he'd get any major recognition.

HOWEVER! I have happily been proved wrong! So I will take this chance to give him a bit more publicity. Enjoy this bad boyy.X
