Chase and Status - No More Idols

2011 will bring us many exciting events and music releases. (Including my 18th) But by far the biggest release next year will be Chase & Status’s second album “No More Idols”. This album has the potential to blow the previous record “More Than A Lot” right out of the water.

In the time that it has been released, “More Than A Lot” gained two singles in the UK charts, and peaked at number 49 in the album chart. “Pieces” featuring Plan B got to number 1 in the UK Dance charts. However, on a whole, this album did not get much publicity and will remain as one of the most underrated albums of the century.

Things are now looking up for the two piece from London. “Let you go” featuring Mali reached number eleven in the charts, “End Credits” featuring Plan B reached ninth in the UK singles chart and “Hypest Hype” featuring Tempa T has not yet charted, having only being released this week. As you may have noticed, Chase & Status do not sing and require guests to come sing their lyrics. Well now they have hit the big time. DIZZIE RASCAL features on their next single, "Heavy".

It’s finally time that Chase & Status to stand up and receive the credit they deserve. I’ll hold my hands up and say it’s one of the best albums I have heard in recent times; so it’s hard to believe when I say that they sound even better live. X
